New Brunswick reports two more COVID-19 deaths, slight drop in hospitalizations

FREDERICTON — New Brunswick health officials say two more people have died from COVID-19.

Officials say the latest deaths involve a person in their 80s in the Campbellton region and someone in their 90s in the Bathurst area.  

There have been 189 COVID-19-related deaths in New Brunswick since the onset of the pandemic.  

Officials say there are 113 people in hospital with the disease, a drop of two since Sunday, but the number of people in intensive case has risen to 16 from 14.

The provincial COVID-19 dashboard shows there are 4,914 active cases, down from 5,265 on Sunday.  

Officials say 322 health-care workers are isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.
