Health officials in Nova Scotia say woman in her 50s latest to die of COVID-19
HALIFAX — Health officials in Nova Scotia say the latest person to die of COVID-19 in the province is a woman in her 50s in the central zone, which includes Halifax.
Nova Scotia has reported a total of 93 COVID-19-related deaths since the start of the pandemic.
Chief medical officer of health Dr. Robert Strang offered condolences to the woman's family in a news release issued today.
He is encouraging Nova Scotians to get vaccinated as soon as possible and get tested on a regular basis.
Officials are reporting no new COVID-19 cases today.
Nova Scotia has 11 active reported cases of COVID-19 and no one in hospital with the disease.
