Nova Scotia reports 99 new COVID-19 cases, eight school exposures
HALIFAX — Nova Scotia is reporting 34 new cases of COVID-19 today and another 65 cases since its last update on Friday.
Health officials say 86 new cases were identified in the province's central health zone, which includes Halifax.
Officials are also reporting another 130 recoveries from the disease since their last report.
They say there is community spread of the novel coronavirus in the central zone among people between the ages of 20 and 40.
The government says there have been COVID-19 exposures at eight schools over the past four days, mostly in the Halifax area.
Nova Scotia has 197 active reported cases of COVID-19 and 15 people in hospital with the disease, including two in intensive care.
