Health officials in New Brunswick report one new case of COVID-19

FREDERICTON — New Brunswick is reporting one new case of COVID-19 today. 

Health officials say the travel-related case involves a person in their 60s in the Fredericton region.  

There are eight active reported cases in the province and no one is hospitalized with the disease.

Officials say about 61.7 per cent of New Brunswickers aged 12 and older are fully vaccinated and 81 per cent have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

All New Brunswickers are eligible for their second dose 28 days after their first shot.  

Chief medical officer of health Dr. Jennifer Russell says access to COVID-19 vaccines in the province has never been easier.
