Prince George-Valemount election night result

VANCOUVER โ€” Prince George-Valemount election results as of Oct. 24, 2020 at 11:23 p.m.:

Shirley Bond of the BC Liberal Party has been re-elected as MLA in Prince George-Valemount, keeping the seat for the party. Bond won 5,115 out of 9,015 counted votes (56.74 per cent) with 64 of 89 polls reporting.

Laura Parent of the NDP won 2,260 votes (25.07 per cent). Mackenzie Kerr of the Green party won 1,386 votes (15.37 per cent). Sean Robson of the Libertarian party won 254 votes (2.82 per cent). 

As of 11:23 p.m., The Canadian Press is projecting the BC NDP has won a majority government. The party has won or is leading in 55 of 87 seats. The BC Liberal Party has won or is leading in 29, and the BC Green Party has won or is leading in three seats.

As of Oct. 23, 4,563 vote-by-mail packages had been issued to registered voters in the riding. There are a total of 33,449 registered voters in Prince George-Valemount.

Provincewide, 724,279 mail-in ballots have been sent out, and there are 3,485,858 registered voters.

Mail-in ballots will be counted by hand, starting in 13 days.

Votes: 5,115 votes (56.74 per cent)

Votes: 2,260 votes (25.07 per cent)
