FREDERICTON — Health officials in New Brunswick say another five people have died, bringing the number of COVID-19-related deaths in the province to 99.
In a statement, Premier Blaine Higgs said his thoughts are with the family and friends mourning their loved ones.
There are 69 new COVID-19 cases today and 761 active cases in the province.
There are 55 people hospitalized, including 16 in intensive care.
Officials say 14 of the people listed in intensive care are unvaccinated.
Currently 82.9 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers are fully vaccinated while 91.8 per cent have received at least one dose of vaccine.
