CHARLOTTETOWN — Prince Edward Island's chief public health officer is announcing one new case of COVID-19 today.
Dr. Heather Morrison says the case involves a person in their 40s who recently travelled outside Atlantic Canada.
She says anyone who travelled on Air Canada flight 8330 from Toronto to Charlottetown on Tuesday, Sept. 7 should get tested if they experiences symptoms of COVID-19.
Prince Edward Island has four active reported cases of COVID-19.
About 91.7 per cent of the Island's eligible population has received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 82.4 has received two doses.
There are more than 43,000 people in P.E.I. who are not fully vaccinated.
