CHARLOTTETOWN — Health authorities in Prince Edward Island say two new cases of COVID-19 in the province can be traced to travel outside the Atlantic region.
Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Heather Morrison says the latest patients are both men, one in his 20s and the other in his 50s.
She did not offer details of their travel, but says both men have been in self-isolation since arriving in the province.
There are now three active cases of COVID-19 in P.E.I.
Morrison says there is no current evidence of community spread of COVID-19 on the Island and the risk of transmission in the province remains low.
P.E.I. has had a total of 61 positive cases of COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic, with all cases to date being travel-related.
