VANCOUVER — Columbia River-Revelstoke election results as of Oct. 24, 2020 at 9:17 p.m.:

Doug Clovechok of the BC Liberal Party has been re-elected as MLA in Columbia River-Revelstoke, keeping the seat for the party. Clovechok won 1,960 out of 3,639 counted votes (53.86 per cent) with 26 of 78 polls reporting.

Nicole Cherlet of the NDP won 1,204 votes (33.09 per cent). Samson Boyer of the Green party won 475 votes (13.05 per cent).

As of 9:17 p.m., the NDP has won or is leading in 51 of 87 seats. The BC Liberal Party has won or is leading in 32, and the BC Green Party has won or is leading in three seats.

As of Oct. 23, 3,019 vote-by-mail packages had been issued to registered voters in the riding. There are a total of 23,611 registered voters in Columbia River-Revelstoke.

Provincewide, 724,279 mail-in ballots have been sent out, and there are 3,485,858 registered voters.

Mail-in ballots will be counted by hand, starting in 13 days.
